During re -review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed.
Initial corrections 12/28/06

1) ok
2) Still need no response given Still need. Response says new calcs provided but I was unable to
locate calculationsfor this connection. Provide calculations stamped and signed by the
Engineer of record to justify connection of floor joist ledger to the foundation on detail A. This
does not meet conventional construction. Also clarify what bolts are to be used (i.e. J style boltE
that will be hooked and tied before the wall is poured or epoxy bolts). If they will be epoxy,
special inspections are required.
3) Still need no response given. Still need. Response says letterprovided but I could notfind on
in ourfiles. Provide letter from Geotechnical Engineer of Record stating that he has reviewed
the plans and that they are consistent with his report recommendations.
4) Still need no response g-given. Still need. Response says see attached but a signed agreement
form was not in theftle. Special inspections are required for the following. Complete the
enclosed special inspection agreement signed by the owner, the general contractor and the
special inspector and submit to the City for approval prior to issuance.

5) See attached structural comments from city consultant. Respond to each item in writing.
Structural Consultants Item #E "at is the connection requiredfor beam marked D to
the triple rafter? Nothing is specified at this time. Please add this information to the
drawings. Specify which THG hanger you intend to use. There are several different
ones in the Simpson catalog.
6) Rockeries and retaininff walls located in a critical area, re,-ardless of heiffht, require a
separate permit. See enclosed handout for submittal requirements. Details and Enkineere
stamped calculations are required for review and it is possible that peer review will he
reguired.
Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a
written response to each of the above items to a Permit Coordinator.
