Re: Landscape Plan Modification Permit Application
Gentlemen:
Please find attached an application for a tree removal permit. There is a European
Hombeam. tree at the northeast comer of the property at 325 Yd Avenue South which is
breaking up the brick wall surrounding it. We propose to cut the tree to the ground, grind
out the stump and replace it with an ornamental tree appropriate to the size of the
planting area enclosed by the brick wall. A small crack in the grout of the brick wall was
observed in late May, 2014, which in the last week has grown to a crack downward in
the wall causing it to now be out of aligriment, as evidenced by the attached photos. We
therefore are requesting emergency consideration due to the accelerated damage.
We also propose removing five Leyland Cypress trees along the north fence line at the
above location which have overgrown the small openings in the driveway and are
damaging the fence and will soon damage the driveway. We propose to cut the trees as
close as possible to the ground and place large planters on the stumps with 6- to 7-foot
Emerald Green Arborvitae.
Thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
325 Yd Avenue Condominium Owners' Association
