Re: Special Inspection - 9230 217th Place SW, Edmonds, Washington
Permit No.: BLD2018-1022
Dear Ken-
4001 Main Street, Suite 305
Vancouver WA, 98663
P: 360.566.7343
I have performed the special inspection of the installation of the push piers per ICC ESR-1854 for the above -referenced
Droiect.
Push Pier Installation:
The push pier used for installation was a 2 7/8 inch diameter pipe using a 3.5 inch Dual Bore Cylinder System with a working
area of 16.27 square inches.
The maximum axial load requirement for this project is 36000 lbs ultimate load. The piers were driven to depths of 42 - 44
feet with a minimum installation pressure of 2500 psi. This results in an ultimate axial capacity of 40675 lbs, exceeding the
required ultimate load per the design documents.
Summary:
Based on my special inspection and structural observation, the push piers were installed according to the engineering
design load requirements and according to ESR-1854.
