2. Spa will drained to a "trapped" stand pipe and 3" bell drain in the mechanical room of the
house. It will be part of the plumbing system. No modifications to the side sewer will be
made.

During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please submit revised plans/documents including a written
response to each item below.
Resubmittals can be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 nd floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th & F from 8am-4:30pm and on Wednesdays from 8:30am-noon.
City of Edmonds handouts, New updated standard details with new reference numbers, application
and other forms, and development code may be referenced on the City website:
www.edmondswa.gov under Services/Perrmts and Development.
1) Show a cleanout in the vicinity of the hot tub for the draining of the hot tub.
a. Hot tubs cannot have a direct connection to sanitary sewer. Drainage of hot tubs
must be pumped to sewer system via cleanout.
b. The cleariout shall be located 20-30' from the hot tub.
c. Please revise the plans accordingly.
2) Submit Side Sewer Permit Application form if you need to install a cleanout.
3) Please show an AVB installed at the nearest fill location (hose bib).
4) Please add a note to the plans that all disturbed soils will be compost amended per BMP
T5.13.
