South County Fire has completed the review of the plans for a second story tenant improvement
at 400 Dayton St Edmonds, WA. BLD20190134 The review and comments are based on the
following submittal documents:
1. 2015 International Existing Building Code
2. Edmonds City Municipal Code
3. 2015 International Fire Code
This approval is in accordance to (IBC) International Building Code, Edmonds City Municipal Code
(ECMC) and the (IFC) International Fire Code
1. A monitored Fire Alarm will be required IEBC 504 Level 2 alteration, ECIVIC 19.25.035
C Fire Alarms and Detection Svstems. In addition to the reauirements of Section 9072. an ainoroved
monitored automatic fire alarm system shall be installed and maintained throughout all buildings,
structures, floors, and suites described in this section. If conflicts exist between the IFC and this section,
this section shall prevail. Fire alarm systems shall be installed per NFPA 72 and SCFs fire alarm
standard. Partial area fire alarm systems are prohibited except where approved by the fire cod
officia/.

2. Deferred Fire Alarm as stated on plans.
3. Fire Alarm Panel will be located in electrical room or mutually agreed area.. Fire Alarm
Annunciator Panel will be located inside main entrance. A Knox type key box will be required
at this main entrance.
4. Fire extinguishers are required at all exits and every 75 feet interior.
5. Building to finalize occupant load.
