A letter dated March 16, 1981 was sent to residents that were required to repair the sidewalk abutting their property. A certified letter was also sent dated June 15, 1982. The improvements of sidewalks in need of repair at the expense of the abutting property owner is provided by City Ordinance, Chapter 7.20 and Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 35.69. The areas needing repair have been marked in paint on the sidewalk adjoining your property. Reconstruction permits must be obtained from the Building Department located at 250-5th Ave. N. within thirty (30) days upon receipt of this final notice. The permit fee for the sidewalk repair has been %waiv,e'd by the City of Edmonds. In the event you have not obtained the reconstruction permit within thirty (30) days, the City forces will commence with the reconstruction of the sidewalk, and the City will bill the abutting property owner.
