RE: Residence @ 24306 90th Avenue West
Dear Mrs. Goss:
The City appreciates your efforts to date on the clean-up of your house. However, I have just
been informed that the clean-up stopped last month. This is unacceptable and in violation of the
Notice and Order to Abate.
As a reminder, as Building Official for the City of Edmonds I issued a Notice and Order to Abate
declaring your residence to be Unm a and Unfit for Human Habitation (determination issued
October 30, 2001). This Notice required you to vacate the residence, clean it, and have an
authorized person inspect the clean-up and render a decision of habitability.
In response to the Notice, your daughter was identified as your agent and provided the City
monthly progress updates up until last month. It is my understanding that you are now the sole
responsible party in this matter so at this time I requesting the status of the clean-up and a
timeline for final clean-up completion. As a reminder in order for the house to be re -
inhabited the City shall require that a test report from a licensed industrial hygienist be
submitted that states that the house is sanitary and has no hazards
Provide me written information on the clean-up progress by May 2, 2003. If you have questions
please feel free to contact me at 425-771-0220 during City business hours of 9:00am to noon,
and 1:00pm to 4:00pm. If you have stopped clean-up.and have no intention of continuing clean-
up, the City has legal recourse under the Abatement Order to resolve this violation.
Sincerely,
Jeannine L. Graf
