Since our property is located in the North Meadowdale "Slide Area"t Mr. Hal Reeves had some condern regarding the City's liability in the event of a future slide. I took our preliminary building plans to Reid, Middletont the Edmonds Engineering firm most familiar with the Meadowdale areal and went over them with Allen Morgan. His only suggestion was the addition of two inches of crushed rock and a layer of 4-mil visqueen under the slab to minimize possible dampness. I would suggest that we revise the plans to include Mr. Morgan's suggestions. In order to minimize the City's liability, my wife and I would be pleased to submit a legal hold -harmless agreement as a part of the Building Permit procedure in accordance with whatever the City Attorney suggests. After residing on the site in question for more than 40 yearsp we are fully aware of the landslide hazardsp and accept the full responsi- bility for any damage incurred by the structures owned by us or our heirs.
