This will yield an approximate effective setback from the top of the west slope of 18 feet. We recommend that the west side of the new foundation o achieve a minimum 20 be steped down an additional effective where necessary in order setback from the top of the slope. The owner must be aware that there are inherent risks to any development on or near slopes. It -should be further understood that the stability of slopes cannot be guaranteed. However, it is our opinion, based on present information available to us, that the risk from slope movement on this site is the same as that which is generally considered acceptable by current geotechnical engineering 9, standards and geologic hazards evaluationse in addition, construction of this project will not have an adverse effect on the existing stability of the slope, provided that the existing vegetation on the slope is not disturbed, no fill soils are pushed over the bank, or stored beteen notthe dischargedand ontotop the slope andour surface drains and footing drains are foundation recommendations are followed.
