Subject: Grading Project to Restore Original Grade for 9122 Olympic View Drive.
In Early 1994, we submitted our plans for building of a single family residence at 9122 Olympic
View Drive. In order to gain access to the property, we had to excavate our driveway out of a
slope on Olympic View Drive. The excavation, along with the excavation for the foundation,
resulted in approximately 1000 cubic yards of material being moved. The majority of the material
was exported but a substantial amount remains on site. The restoration of the original grade was
always planned and was considered under the original SEPA checklist (see attached grading plan
and original building permit). The Critical Area checklist was also completed along with the
original building permit (see attached original).
The material is in an area on the south side of the lot. An area approximately 25 feet wide and 50
feet long is to be excavated to a depth of 5 feet. The "hill" is at the 220' elevation (see attached
grading plan) and will be at 215' when complete. This is in the middle of the original grade
contour lines.
The current plan is to perform the grading in conjunction with the development of the Hastings
property immediately west of our property. However, if we cannot schedule these events, we
still plan to continue with the grading and export the remaining material.
