Architectural Design Review — Optional Vesting
Dear Mr. Ruecker,
During review of the applications for the proposed Walgreens and bank located 9801 Edmonds
Way it was noted that the proposed bank intended to use the 8 -foot setbacks from Edmonds Way
authorized by Ordinance 3846. Ordinance 3846 expires one year after the effective date of the
ordinance, which is July 15, 2012. Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 19.00.030
allows projects subject to Architectural Design Board review to submit an augmented
architectural design review application in order to vest development regulations in effect at the
time of a complete application.
On June 14, 2012, Baysinger Partners Architecture submitted a building permit application for
the proposed bank at 9801 Edmonds Way (Permit Number BLD20120455). With the submittal
of this building permit application, the City now has a fully complete augmented architectural
design review application consistent with the requirements of ECDC 19.00.030.A. As a result,
the proposed bank is vested to the 8 -foot setbacks from Edmonds Way authorized by Ordinance
3846.
