ADU.docxDATE:September 12, 2019 TO:Eric Carter FROM:Bjorn Wanchoo RE:ADU Application for 19004 88th Ave West This is in response to the letter dated July 22nd, 2019. I apologize for the delay in responding, however the letter was not received till September 5th, 2019 as it was sent to an incorrect email address. The site plan and floor plans have been modified and outlined in Red to indicate the changes from the prior plans. The modifications include location of the electrical panel, water shut-off, indication of interconnected smoke and CO detectors, and access to the electrical panel/water shut-off in the event of an emergency. The plans are included as attachments for reference purposes, and hard copies in the specified format will be brought in to City Hall. The responses to the 2 items are detailed below: The plans have been modified indicating the location of the electrical panel and water shut- off. As the home is not a new construction, the electrical panel is shared, and located in the laundry room in the “Daylight Basement” as indicated on the “ADUA1” drawing. The electrical panel will be accessible by Owner 24X7 in the event of an emergency as stipulated in the rental lease agreement, addendum to the lease agreement that addresses access is attached. The door located at the bottom of the stairs(D1) from the “1st floor unit” provides 24X7 access to the “Daylight Basement” as shown in the “ADUA1” drawing. There are 2 water shut-off’s – one is in the laundry room in the “Daylight Basement”, and the second is located outside in the front of the house by the water meter. Both water shut-off’s would be accessible by the occupants of either the “Daylight Basement” or “1st Floor” in the event of an emergency. The Smoke and CO detectors are hardwired and interconnected. The plans have been updated to reflect this, as shown in attachments ADUA1 and ADUA2. Sincerely, Bjorn Wanchoo
