During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts referred to in these comments can be accessed at
our website: www.ci.edmonds.wa.us under City Government / Development Services Department /
Engineering Division then scroll down to Handouts:
1.Please show erosion and sediment control on site plan, including silt fence, construction entrance and
filter socks for the catch basins to the west of the property. Include with plan details consistent with City
of Edmonds Standard details for Erosion Control. You may view these at our website by scrolling down
to the bottom of the Handout list.
2.Please note bottom of footing elevation on site plan so grading calculations can be verified.
3.Please indicate rim and invert elevation on west catch basin of detention system.
4.Existing vertical curbing. Please add note to site plan: “Existing curb/gutter and sidewalk to be removed
and replaced as required by engineering inspector.”
5.Drainage plan shows rockery or retaining wall around south and east portion of property. Please identify
and add to site plan. If retaining wall, please show where it will drain. Please note top and toe elev. at
each corner, end and every 2 ft of change. If rockery, then it must be set back from right of way a
distance in length equal to height of the rockery.
6.Please show where driveway catch basin will connect to storm drain. Note rim and invert elevations.
7.Storm Drain line in Alder St. becomes a Sanitary Sewer line after the datum, please correct.
8.Standard detention sheet used is out of date, please use current worksheet and add current standard
details to detention plan which can be found on our website.
9.There is currently no existing sanitary sewer in the alley between Alder and Maple St. Please remove
reference to connect to non-existent sewer.
10.Sewer lateral from Alder St. to property line will be required to be TV’d by the City to assure reusability.
If you choose to reuse existing side sewer from property line to house then you must have that line TV’d
and provide report to Public Works.
11.Side sewer and water service lines appear to cross area that storm detention system is to be placed.
Please provide cross section or elevations showing there will be no conflicts between these utilities.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
