During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
1.Detention / Drainage:
Please show how footings are to drain. Route footing drains either to the outflow line outside of the

detention system or to a separate drywell, if possible (preferred).
2.Grading, Excavation, Shoring:
Note that any retaining walls / rockeries must have a two-foot shy distance from the edge of the
o
driveway. Please note this on plans.
The west rockery appears to be supporting a surcharge from the driveway. This is not allowed. Only a
o
retaining wall may support a surcharge. Since there is surcharge involved, such a wall design must be
produced and stamped by a licensed engineer, with supporting calculations provided. Please refer to
Building Handout #62, Retaining Wall Permit Submittal Requirements, for the design requirements. This
