Amenties2Pool2.pdf City of Edmonds PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS BUILDING DIVISION (425) 771-0220 DATE: April 16, 2008 TO: Ross Woods FAX: 206-770-7761 FROM: Ann Bullis, Assistant Building Official RE: Plan Check # 2007-1103 Project: Point Edwards Amenities 2 -- Swimming Pool Project Address: 21 Pine Street In reviewing the revised plans and architect’s responses for the above noted project, we have the following comments. Please respond in writing to each item and include the location(s) of the changes to expedite the re-review. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator. 1.Revised details received April 4, 2008 must be wet signed by the architect or record. 2.Previous item 3a still outstanding: a.Sheet SP1: Revise pool fence notes to meet the minimum requirements of ECDC 19.00.005.B.7, which are more restrictive – see item 5 in enclosed handout. The architect’s response to this item is incorrect. In some cases the City code is more restrictive that the State code, but we have never had a problem with the State approving more restrictive items, for example a fence height of 6 feet, openings in the fence cannot exceed 2” (except where States maximum opening width is more restrictive), etc. Revise plans. 3.Previous item 4: Although the architect has responded that the pool equipment and piping has been approved and permitted by Snohomish County Health District, plans and permits must be approved by the City of Edmonds, as well as inspections made during construction. All plumbing and mechanical equipment associated with the pool installation must be included with this permit (handouts provided previously for minimum submittal requirements). Provide mechanical equipment installation instructions/specs as noted in handouts. Plumbing that is currently shown on the plans is incomplete and needs to show complete water supply and sewer systems from tie-in to the existing water supply and sewer supply lines. 4.No structural responses or revised plans were received.
