In reviewing the resubmitted plans for the above noted project, we have the following comments.
Please respond in writing to each item and include the location(s) of the changes to expedite the
re-review. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator.
1.Previous item 4: Per e-mail to Ross Woods dated 11/1/07 from Jeannine Graf, Building
Official, for this permit to be issued prior to the resolution of the rockery issue, the site,
landscape and civil plans must note that existing rockeries are to be removed and replaced
with engineered retaining walls and then list the retaining walls as a deferred submittal.
The City is in receipt of the e-mail, letter and calculations from John Sadler regarding the
MSE and rockeries, and it is going through the plan review process, including structural peer
review.
2.Previous item 11:
a.Required exits from the pool deck area must be accessible per IBC 1007.1
b.The fireplace vent appears to protrude into the exit path of travel from the pool area.
On Sheets A2.0 and A1.1 dimension the finished clear width of the exit path of
travel from the exterior face of the fireplace vent. See IBC 1003.3 for protruding
objects, and IBC 1005 for minimum width.
3.Previous item 21: Still awaiting Special Inspection Agreements.
4.Previous item 22: Still awaiting Contractor Responsibility Statement per IBC 1706.
