During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please provide written responses to the comments below
and resubmit revised plans/documents to Theresa Unibaugh, Pen -nit Coordinator.
9303 228tb Street SW Parking Lot Comments:
1) Since all accessible parking stalls will be located at the main parking lot, please make a note on
1 the paving plan of the civils that required accessible parking stalls will beprovided on the main
parking lot located at 22901 Edmonds Way.
22901 Edmonds Way Parking Lot Comments for Accessible Stalls:
2) Per WAC 51-50 1106:6, where there is more than one accessible building entrance, accessible
stalls must be dispersed among the entrances and be located on the shortest routes to the
accessible entranees.
3) Where path of travel from the accessible parking stalls must cross vehicular lames, a minimum
44" wide painted crosswalk is required (WAC 51-50 1106.6). Where possible, try to minimize
the number of crosswalks in a given area by bringing accessible paths of travel to one crossing
point. Please coordinate this with myself and Lyle Chrisman (Engineering reviewer).
4) Clearly show on the plan where the accessible building entrances are located.
5) Dimension all proposed accessible parking stalls.
6) Show the location of the accessible parking sign at the head of each stall and provide a parking
sign detail (see enclosed example).
7) Show location of the proposed parking lot for reference.
8) Clarify that the shaded parking area shown on the plan is existing (not proposed).
9) Provide a reduced parking plan (maximum 8 %2" x 14").
10) A separate permit application is required for the alteration of the existing parking lot to
accommodate the additional accessible parking stalls. Please submit a permit application to
Theresa Umbaugh, Pennit Coordinator.
