Dear Mr. Truong:
JRR Engineering, Inc. (JRR) understands that you would like to construct a non-structural wall to
separate the store from the hot food -deli area in the above subject building. JRR has determined
the nonstructural wall shall be constructed with 2x4 HF stud grade studs at 16" on center with a
double top plate and single pressure treated bottom plate. The double top plate shall be attached
to the truss bottom cord with Simpson DTC clips spaced at 16" on center. Attach the bottom plate
to the existing concrete floor with'/d' wedge -all concrete anchors spaced at 32" on -center with 3" of
embedment. All nailing should be consistent with table 23-II-13-1 of the 1997 UBC.
Please advise if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
