Fire Sunvression Comments General Page 2 of 2 EECE#: EDM 06-57(2) Trike Shop 1. Modify the calculation on Pipe 8 to reflect 6 feet of pipe instead of 4 feet of pipe. 2. Is there a gate valve or a ball valve where the underground line connects to the city line? If so, it needs to be added to the calculations. Usually there is a valve at that location. 3. There is a concern with having two backflow prevention devices. They require maintenance and annual testing. Also, should one of these devices fail (twice the opportunity for this to happen) it will affect the flow of the sprinkler system. It seems only logical to remove the device from the interior of the building. Additional corrections may be required following receipt of corrections and additional information as requested. Your plans are being reviewed concurrently with the Building Department, Fire Department, Zoning Department and Public Works Engineering. Changes, clarifications or additional corrections may be required subsequent to the Building Department plan review when comments are received from the other concerned departments.
