Dear Mr. Woods:
As requested, we provided geotechnical engineering observation services during construction of Building 9 at the
subject project. The purpose of our work was to verify that geotechnical engineering elements of consu•uction
were completed in accordance with our recommendations and construction drawings approved by the City of
Edmonds. We previously submitted copies of our field memos to you, Longitude 122, LLC, and the City of
Edmonds.. Our geotechnical observations were as follows:
1. Soldier Pile Shoring Installation
We observed the installation of cantilevered soldier piles at the soutlieast corner of Building 9. All piles were
installed in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations, the shoring design, and the project
drawings approved by the City of Edmonds.

3. Structural fill Material and Required Compaction
We performed periodic observation and compaction testing of structural fill placed in the building interior and as
wall backfill. Based on the results of our field density testing and site observation of contractor means and
methods, it is our opinion that the structural fill we observed was placed and compacted in general. accordance
with our recommendations.
4. Soil Bearing Verification
We observed prepared foundation subgrades for Building 9. Foundation subgrades consisted of adequately
compacted structural fill or dense to very dense native.sand and stiff to very stiff native silt and clay that are
suitable for support of foundations designed for allowable bearing capacities of 3,000 pounds per square foot
(pso.
5. Building Drainage Verification
We observed installation of subsurface drainage placed around the perimeter of Building 9. All drainage systems
we observed were installed in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations and the approved
project plans.
Conclusions
Based on our observations during construction, it is our opinion that the geotechnical items discussed above were
completed in general conformance with the recommendations presented in the referenced geotechnical reports
and with the construction drawings approved by the City of Edmonds.
We trust the information presented is sufficient for your current needs. If you have any questions or require

CROSS 2
DESIGN GROUP
Dear Mr. Yarberry,
Cross 2 Design Group (C2DG), is providing the following brief information related to the services we have
provided to date on the above referenced project.
During construction, C2DG made periodic site visits to observe representative samples of the installed
work related to the documents which include details, plans and specifications that had been developed for
the project. The building envelope design documents address the following areas of the building — exterior
walls, roofs, decks, and penetrations.
This letter certifies that in our opinion the work has been performed in substantial compliance with the
building envelope construction documents and in accordance with RCW 64.55. Our opinion Is based on
our periodic observations of the representative samples of work during the construction phase and our final
site visit and review at the completion of construction.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional Information.
Sincerely,
Larry K. Cross, AIA
