ECDC 19.25.055 2) Sheet A1.00 & CIVILS: Existing private hydrant must be in accordance with COE requirements. Provide a storz fitting (1/4 turn) for the steamer port of existing hydrant. Add COE Standards Detail E7.1 3) CIVILS: Show fire protection vault location in concert with Fire Connection submittal. 4) Sheet R0.00 Callout OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION & SEPARATION as S2-R2. 5) Sheet R0.00: Break out OCCUPANCY CALCULATIONS individually by type. 6) Sheet R0.00:Required permits/submittals include: a. Fire Connection Permit b. Fire Sprinkler System Permit (DEFERRED) c. Fire Alarm Permit (DEFERRED) d. Fire Protection Footprint (DEFERRED) e. Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan (DEFERRED) 6a) GENERAL NOTE: Callout Fire Connection Permit. Fire Connection must be submitted at the same time as your civil engineering plans. Fire connection permit is required for the installation of the underground supply for your fire protection system. Underground design must be stamped by registered PE or a Level III (WA) fire sprinkler contractor AND the installer must also stamp the plans. The installer must be either Level III or Level “U” fire sprinkler contractor licensed by the State. Provide three copies of plans showing all valves, vault location, post indicating valve, fire department connection and piping to include size and material, hydraulic calculations, thrust blocking with calculations, pipe bury depth and any and all other materials used and their fire protection listings. Locate FDC no greater than 35’ from private fire hydrant (@7503) IFC 105.7.1 6c) Manual Fire alarm system (DEFERRED) is required and for the purposes of off-site sprinkler system monitoring, local alarm audible/visual notification, and exterior audibility. Locate FACP in sprinkler riser room. IFC 903.4.2 6d) Fire Protection Footprint (DEFERRED) is required (attached below). 6e) Fire Safety & Evacuation Plan (DEFERRED). IFC 408.9 7) Sheets A2.11, A2.21, A2.31: Provide emergency lights and illuminated exits throughout common areas. 8) Sheets A2.11, A2.21, A2.31: Provide two portable fire extinguishers at each floor, min. rated 2A:10B:C. 9) Sheets A2.11, A2.21, A2.31: Provide dwelling smoke alarms outside of unit sleeping areas. 10) Sheets A2.21, A2.31: Delete dwelling smoke alarms in common areas at levels above grade. 11) Provide Fire Department lockbox. Coordinate with Fire Department for a “Lockbox Authorization Letter” and instructions to obtain and install lockbox outside the sprinkler rooms on your site. 425.775.7720 12) Sheet A3.00 post approved address on south elevations. New buildings shall have approved address numbers placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background.
