Show OVWD detail W-3 (attached) on civils and upgrade public FH steamer ports to ¼ turn (Storz) universal fittings as required. Olympic View Water District 425 774-7769. 2) Sheets A-1.0A, A-1.0B, A-1.0C Show LOADING area(s) for buildings A & B. 3) Sheets A-1.0A, A-1.0B, A-1.0C Fire apparatus access road from east driveway entry/exit to south driveway entry/exit shall be striped with 4” yellow perimeter striping and identified with words “FIRE LANE – NO PARKING”. Letters shall be 12” high with 2” stroke spaced 50 lineal feet on alternating insides of lane. 4) Sheet T-0.1 PROJECT INFO Correct: NFPA-13 FIRE PROTECTION CODE STANDARD FOR INSTALLATION OF SPRINKLER SYSTEMS 5) Sheet T-0.1 PROJECT INFO Call out design occupancy type for shell construction purposes, calculate occupant loads and design exit systems for each building. Building Dept can assist in making classification. 6) Sheets T-0.1 SUBMITTALS & PERMITTING Add note: Provide Fire Department lockbox for building B. Coordinate with Fire Department for a “Lockbox Authorization Letter” and instructions to obtain and install lockbox outside building B 425.775.7720 7) Sheet T-0.1 Callout additional required PERMITS: a. Fire Connection Permit (Bldg B ONLY) Fire Connection must be submitted at the same time as your civil engineering plans. Fire connection permit is required for the installation of the underground supply for your fire protection system. Underground design must be stamped by registered PE or a Level III City of Edmonds Office of Fire Marshal   (WA) fire sprinkler contractor AND the installer must also stamp the plans. The installer must be either Level III or Level “U” fire sprinkler contractor licensed by the State. Provide three copies of plans showing all valves, vault location, post indicating valve, fire department connection and piping to include size and material, hydraulic calculations, thrust blocking with calculations, pipe bury depth and any and all other materials used and their fire protection listings. RCW 18.160.070 / RCW 18.27.110 8) Regarding fire alarm system design: a) Fire alarm system is required for the purposes of off-site sprinkler system monitoring, local alarm audible/visual notification and exterior audibility. Automatic detection in buildings A & C may be permitted and installed iaw NFPA 72. IFC 903.4.2 b) Collocate single fire alarm control panel (FACP) with fire sprinkler riser in building B for control/monitoring of all buildings. c) Smoke detector is required at the FACP 9) Sheets A-3.0A, A-3.0B, A-3.0C Add note: Install approved address numbers on each building placed in position that is plainly legible and visible from Highway 99. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals and contrast with their installed background. Building numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches high with a minimum stroke width of ½ inch. 10) Sheets A-3.0A, A-3.0B, A-3.0C Provide tenant/suite lettering or numbering in ascending order from south to north and east to west.
