Review 1 February 25, 2009
Review 2 March 27, 2009
3/27/09 Thank you for submitting revised civil sheet C3.1. Please revise the plan
1.
sheet as follows:
Additional pavement restoration will be required along the curb/gutter as the
a.
curb ramp near the trash enclosure will need to be replaced to City standards
and provide for no more than a 1:12 slope.
Per Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 18.80.060.C, the
b.
standard width for commercial drives shall be 30 feet. The City has reviewed
the current proposal for a driveway width of 40 feet and from a traffic safety
standpoint we are acceptant of this proposal. As required per the ECDC,
additional width in excess of the established standardmay be approved as a
staff decision in accordance with provisions of ECDC 20.95.050. Please submit
in writing your request to exceed the standard driveway width with responses to
the criteria of approval outlined under ECDC 18.80.060.C.
2/25/09 comment - Please revise and resubmit civil sheet C3.1 or provide an additional civil
sheet that specifically addresses the trash enclosure, driveway curb cut, curb painting, etc.
These items were not required to be addressed during civil review under the main permit as
the trash enclosure became a deferred permit.

3/27/09 Please add a note to the plans that states the sleeve for the gate drop pin shall
2.
be located within the landscape strip, outside the sidewalk. In addition, please revise
the sleeve location on the north side of the enclosure so the gate, when in the open
position, falls outside the path of vehicular traffic within the driveway. In lieu of a
sleeve in the concrete driveway, a chain or other form of tie-back attached to the
enclosure could be considered.
2/25/09 comment - Please also refer to plan review comments provided by Steve Fisher on
2/20/09.
Please contact me at 425-771-0220 or by e-mail at mcconnell@ci.edmonds.wa.us if you have
specific questions regarding these plan corrections.
