During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of
revised plans/documents with a written response to each of the items below to Theresa
Umbaugh. City of Edmonds handouts and standard details can be found on the City website
under the Engineering Division www.ci.edmonds.wa.us
1.The plot plan indicates an existing sanitary sewer cleanout near the south side of the house. A
cleanout shall be provided on the exterior of the home in an accessible location. Please clarify
the location of the cleanout and revise plans as needed.
2.Please indicate how the pool will be filled and drained.
Will there be a pump to recirculate the water? If the pool were to be drained would it

run through the recirc. pump?
If the pool will be filled by a hose bib, please show the location of the hose bib and call
·
out the requirement for an air vacuum breaker (AVB) to be installed on the hose bib.
3.Indicate how the pool decking will be sloped for drainage.
4.Topography elevations are not provided on the plans, so I am unable to tell which direction the
site slopes. A silt fence shall be placed in accordance with City of Edmonds standard detail
E1.1. The silt fence shall be placed on the low side of the area of soil disturbance to prevent silt
runoff onto neighboring properties or into the City storm system. Please show the silt fence
location, as needed, on the plans.
5.Please indicate how soil will removed/hauled away from the site. Please install a filter sock in
th
the catch basin adjacent to the site on 8 Ave N, in accordance with City standard detail E1.3, if
th
there is a potential for soil/debris to be tracked through the 8 Ave N side of the property.
