Good morning Zach, Thank you for submitting the traffic control plan for the WA Federal project. Please revise as follows: 1) Please include the haul route on the traffic control planok, haul route submitted. ? 2) "Shoulder Closure" signage does not seem to be appropriate in the subject area as the street section is limited to parking lanes and travel lanes. Road work ahead signage may provide sufficient warning, especially since 3rd & Main is a signalized intersection. Please address comment. ? 3) The scope of work for the WA Fed project includes installation/replacement of storm main on Main Street from 3rd Ave to 2nd Ave. In addition, the driveway approach on Main Street at the alley will be replaced and will therefore require alley closure for a very short period of time. Please include a traffic control plan that addresses all phases of work and states notification to the Police Dept. and Fire Dept. is required 72hrs in advance of alley closure. Please address comment. The two additional plans prepared ? by Gregco Excavating are not specific enough or the site. Traffic Control Plan Sheet 1 of 2 is sufficient for work on Main Street and 3rd Ave where work is adjacent to the property, but the TCP needs to be expanded to include the storm work down to 2nd Ave. 4) Please incorporate "End Road Work" signage into the traffic control plan. Please address ? comment. 5) How long do you anticipate sidewalk and parking closures during sidewalk and storm main construction? Closure in excess of 72hrs requires payment of additional disruption fees. Please ? comment. 6) The pedestrian detour (nonworking hours) prepared by Gregco Excavating indicates pedestrian travel ? will be rerouted into the existing travel lane at the NW corner of 3rd & Main. This would not be a safe option for the pedestrians and should therefore be eliminated from the plans. The sidewalk closure plan (#2 of 2) prepared by Traffic Control Services would be sufficient for night closure (nonworking hours). ? I am available all week to discuss this further or to review a resubmittal.
