On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the May 20, 2011 resubmittal of above
building permit application. During review of the subject resubmittal, it was found that the
following information, corrections, or clarifications need to be addressed. Please respond to the
following items, so that I can complete my review:
Height Calculations and Topography:
1. Height calculations must be taken from the average
level of undisturbed soil. The original site plan submitted with the application showed both
the “pre-development contours” and the “current as-built contours”. The elevations of all
four corners of the height rectangle must be based on the original grade at these points, not
the current as-built or proposed grades. While it does not appear that the proposed house
location has changed with the resubmittal, the elevation at all four corners of the height
rectangle has changed. Please revise your site plan and grading plans to indicate topography
lines for the following: pre-development contours, current as-built contours, and proposed
contours (if any change is proposed to the current contours). These contours should be
indicated in differing line styles, and the elevation of each contour line should be clearly
labeled. Please ensure that the height calculations are based on the original pre-development
conditions of the site, not the current conditions.
