th
Addition @ 8729 209 Place SW
On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the above building permit application.
During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections,
or clarifications need to be addressed. Please respond to the following items, so that the review
can be completed:
Site plan:
1.
a.There appears to be some features located on the property that are not included on the site
plan. Please show the pool and the deck associated with the pool on the site plan.
b.Note that all decks over 30 inches above grade must be included in the coverage
calculation. Please include the deck around the pool in the coverage calculation.
:
Setbacks The subject property is zoned RS-8 (Single-family residential). Setbacks for RS-8

zoned property is outlined in ECDC 16.20.030 and are as follows:
Zone Minimum Street Minimum Side Minimum

th
The street setback for this property is taken from the 209 Place SW right-of-way, which
wraps around the southeast corner of the property (See the attached map). Rear setback is
from the northern property line, and side setbacks are from the western and eastern property
th
lines. Since the 209 Place SW right-of-way wraps around the southeast corner of the
th
property, the proposed addition is approximately 18 feet from the 209 Place SW right-of-
way and thus is within the street setback.
Please revise plans so the proposed addition is compliant with the proscribed zoning setbacks.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 425.771.0220 ext 1223.
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday,
8:00 am 4:30 pm.
