We are in receipt of your comments for the above -referenced project dated May 20,
2011. Please find below our responses to your comments.
General
An itemized engineers cost estimate for all off-site (right-of-way) improvements,
including traffic control, is included in the enclosed Additional Information Packet as
requested. We request that the requirement for an itemized engineers cost estimate
for on-site improvements be made a condition of approval prior to permit issuance,
This will allow the City to review and approve our current plan submittal before a full
cost estimate is developed. In addition, we also request that the requirement for an
itemized engineers cost estimate be revised to allow the submission of a copy of the
winning bid from Panera's general contractor in order to provide the City with the
most accurate data to use in calculating the inspection fees.

a_ These structures are not intake structures, rather they are covered trenches that
allow runoff= to pass through the proposed sidewalk to the existing storm drain
structures. The proposed grates covering these trenches are pedestrian safe.

structures. Refer to detail on Sheet C-4.

a. Based on the best available information, we believe the existing meter is in the
existing vault.
b. A location for the RPBA and hot box has not been shown since the contractor will
first need to determine if premise isolation is already provided by the existing
system. If, at that time, it is determined that a new RPBA and hot box is
required, it will be field located by the contractor in coordination with the City
Water Department.
9. The standard detail has been referenced and incorporated into the plan set as
requested. Refer to Sheet C-4 and Sheet C-10.
10. The details have been incorporated into the pian set and the vault size has been
noted as requested. Refer to Sheet C-4 and Sheet C-10.
11.The note has been added as requested. Refer to Keyed Note 22 on Sheet CA
12. The sanitary sewer line is shown based on the best information available as
provided by the surveyor and the state utility one -call service. The plans clearly
instruct the contractor to locate and uncover existing utilities prior to the start of
construction to ascertain exact materials, locations, elevations, etc., and their
potential conflict with proposed improvements. The contractor is further required to
contact both the owner's construction manager and the engineer immediately if a
conflict arises.
Sheet C-5 -- Landscape Plan
1. The note has been added as requested. Refer to Sheet C-5.

3. Location of the existing sprinkler system is beyond the standard scope of this
project. The existing system will be located and adjusted by the irrigation contractor
during construction to maintain 100% coverage of all landscape areas on site. Refer
