Dear Mr. Waite.
Assuming you are responding as the duly authorized agent for the property owner please be aware that the City issued the
Order to Correct Violation Notice on February 1 st, 2008 with a deadline of February 15th (11 business days). The
corrective action required was to file a new application and remit required fees. The Order was issued because the
property owner failed to renew the permit by January 18, 2008 (the expiration date of the permit) and/or obtain all required
inspections by the permit expiration date. Your email does not disclose any compelling reason for the City to grant a
further extension in this matter. Please instruct the property owner to immediately come to City Hall (ask for Theresa
Umbaugh) and file the paperwork and remit required fees. Failure to respond by 4:OOpm today shall result in the next step
in the City's Civil Penalties process. Sincerely, Jeannine Graf

Dear Ms. Graf,
The owner, Mr. EI Sharawy has asked me to communicate with you as his representative in this matter.
Please find attached a copy of the Order to Correct Violation. I have discussed with him the importance of addressing the
city's concerns immediately, and that is his intention. However, he contends that the address the notice was sent to is not
the same as the address on his permit application. Apparently, this resulted in a time delay in his knowledge of the city's
requirements. He realizes must pay the renewal fees now, but is requesting that penalties not be assessed. If amenable to
you, I can urge he do so by 12:OOPM tomorrow, 2/20/08.
Respectfully,
Steve Waite
