RE:Planning Division comments for file »Pirzadeh Arbors
Greetings,
th
Street SWRS-8
arbors7409 228in the
Thank you for submitting a building permit application for at
zone. I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found
that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before the
Planning Division review can continue.
1.Setbacks:
All structures, including posts, must remain at least 25’from your south and west property
lines, as well as at least 7.5 feet from your north and east property lines. Unfortunately, it appears as
though the proposed arbor structures are located closer than 25’from the west property line.I cannot
approve a proposal to locate a structure in the setback. Please eitherremove the structuresor apply
for and obtain a variance. A variance is a special land use process that takes approximately 4 months
and $1540 with no guarantee of approval. I’menclosingsome information on our variance process.
AlthoughI don’t recommend that you apply for a variance(because they are extremely difficultto
obtain), I’dbe happy to go over our code with you.
:
Please submit a written response to the above, along with any revised plansto your Permit Coordinator
. All code citations can be found at:www.EdmondsWA.gov.If you have any questions,
Marie Harrison
please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with you on this project.
