Thank you for submitting a building permit application for a at
RM-2.4
in thezone. I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and
it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before
the Planning Division review can continue.
1.Sign Type:
It is unclear if you are using this temporary sign as a permanent sign.If temporary, this
type of sign is not permitted in the RM-2.4 zone. If you plan on permanently affixing this type of
temporary sign to a monument base, please illustrate what the final product will look like on your
elevation view, as well as indicating how it will be permanently affixed to the base (and what type of
screws/bolts will be used to secure it)and understand thatthis may have to be presented to our
Architectural Design Board (ADB) for reviewprior to approval(an additional $115).
2.Sign Height:
The maximum height of signs within the setback area is 3 feet.The closest any
structure can be placed to the nearest property line is 15’ from the north (street) property line, 10’
from the side (east/west) property lines, and 15’ from the south (rear) property line. Please adjust the
location of this sign on the site plan accordingly. Or, please lower the total sign height to remain at
or under 3’ (in this case, it would be permitted to be located within the setback area, so it’s up to you
which way you prefer to go here).
3.Sign Area:
Please provide the total lineal area ofthe building(containingthe primary public
entrance).Please also provide the total existing wall sign area for each tenant. Freestanding sign
area is deducted from the total sign area, so I need to ensure that the site is not already over the
maximum sign area permitted.
