Due to the structural nature of the review it was sent out to CG Engineering, one of our on-call structural consultants. Please respond to the enclosed comments so review of the vault can continue. In addition, please provide an updated signage plan that shows a sign at the entrance to the parking lot east of the building that states “Caution – underground vault, load limit XX”. We will ask the applicant to place signage at the entrance of that parking area so load limits are clearly stated. Responses to your questions are provided below: 1. I have attached a copy of the Oldcastle Precast plans as requested. My apologies there, I thought they were sent to you with the original request. 2. I am confirming with the fire department on whether or not the vault needs to be designed for outrigger loading. 3. The City is acceptant of the proposed height (slightly less than 7-foot clear) as long as access manholes are provided at each end of the vault. I’ll follow up with you on item #2 just as soon as I can.
