Engineering Plan Review Comments
9)7/11/13 –Comment was addressed; however, there are a few additional questions.
a.The detail provided from the King County Manual states that ductile iron must be used
since the slope exceeds 30%. Please showthe appropriate material as stated by the King
County Manual if you are to use the anchor detail they provide. (Table 4.2.1.A).
b.Please note your engineer could potentially recommend another anchoring system that will
allow for use of HDPE.
c.Please note that the King County Manual also states above ground installation is
recommended on slopes greater than 40%. The proposed storm line has a slope of 40%,
please have your licensed GeotechnicalEngineer address whether the pipe should be above
ground.
d.Please provide approval of the pipe material, pipe anchors, and proposed installation
(above ground or below) from the licensed GeotechnicalEngineer and BNSF.
4/24/13 Comment: Please note that if the storm line is 20% or greater the line will need to be anchored.
Please show the locations where the storm line will be anchored.

the private storm line cross through the easement.
