May 30, 2013 -Please provide an itemized engineers cost estimate, including units and unit prices, for both on-site and off-site (right-of-way) improvements, including traffic control. The City recommends use of the King County Site Improvement Bond Quantity Worksheet. A bond is required to be placed for all right-of-way improvements. The amount of the bond o will be based on 120% of the City approved estimate for all right-of-way improvements. The City will inform you of the appropriate bond amount after review of the cost estimate. Bond forms can be obtained from Linda Thornquist, Permit Coordinator –425-771-0220 or linda.thornquist@edmondswa.gov Inspection fees for this project will be calculated at 2.2% of the 120% City approved o estimate for all improvements. ok 2. ok 3. ok 4. Please contact Steve Benenati at 206- 440-4915 or benenas@wsdot.wa.gov to confirm whether they will require a permit for the subject project. July 10, 2013 –Response comment states “Revised plans to show connections to OVWSD 6. systems and submitted to OVWSD for review and approval”. 5/30/2013 comment -The email sent yesterday also discussed the possibility of OVWSD requiring connection to their sanitary sewer system as the existing property is served by their district. Please confirm that OVWSD is acceptant of the proposal to connect the new sanitary sewer line to the Edmonds main line that runs along the SE property line. I’d be happy to participate in any conversations or meetings that may be needed to sort through this. STORMWATER REPORT The following comments are provided from Jerry Shuster, Stormwater Engineer. Please contact Jerry directly at 425-771-0220 or by email at jerry.shuster@edmondswa.govwith any specific questions you may have regarding these comments. Consistent with email communications between Jenelle Taflin and Jerry Shuster, the stormwater modeling has been revised and found to be acceptable. Please resubmit a revised drainage report and stormwater plans consistent with the approved design revisions. SHEET CVR-1–COVER SHEET ok 1. July 10, 2013 –Only the electrical service is provided by PUD. PSE (actually InfraSource) 2. is the gas utility provider. 5/30/2013 comment -Electrical service is provided by PUDat this location. July 10, 2013 –Response comment states “See the case studies included in this resubmittal 2. package, prepared by Keystone Retaining Wall Systems”. I looked through the submittal package and noted that most of the discussion revolved around earth pressures. The retaining wall detail on Sheet C-1.2 shows placement of reinforced soil and grid (with no specifications) and does not show the drive surface at the top of the wall. Based on the section view provided in detail 5 it would appear that the drive aisle above will place a surcharge on the wall and therefore engineered calcs/specs will need to be included with the design. 5/30/2013 comment-Please confirm that the drive aisle will not place a surcharge on the proposed retaining wall along the property frontage. If the retainingwall does support a surcharge it will need to be designed by a licensed engineer and structural calcs will needto be submitted to the City. ok 3. 4.Please revise the Site Key notes as follows: ok F– ok G– ok Y– July 10, 2013 response comments acknowledge comment, but note still exists on plan Z– set. 5/30/2013 comment -Note no longer needed –sidewalk through frontage will be held at same height.
