I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before the Planning Division review can continue. 1.Site Plan: Please revise your site plan so that it is “to scale.” Please see enclosed handout on site plans. 2.Floor Plan / Elevations: Please revise your floor plans and elevations so that they are “to scale.” 3.Critical Areas Checklist: Are new stairs proposed as part of this project? If so, we’ll need a completed Critical Areas Checklist (enclosed) along with the $155 review fee, payable to the City of Edmonds. We have no record of Planning Staff going out to the property to determine if there are any critical areas (streams, wetlands, or steep slopes) – once this determination is made, it runs with the land and does not need to be repeated for subsequent permits. 4.Height Calculations: The height limit in the RS-8 zone is 25 feet. With the addition, I’ll need to see height calculations on the site plan and also noted on the elevations so I can ensure this addition will meet code. Please refer to the enclosed Height Calculation handout for instructions on what to include on your plans. Please submit a written response to the above, along with any revised plans to your Permit Coordinator: Linda Thornquist. The Development Services Department is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8:00 am to 12:00 pm only on Wednesdays). I look forward to working with you on this project.
