Engineering Plan Review Comments
11)Observation wells are required onthe gravelless chambers. Please show the wells located near the west
portion of the chambers.
12)It appears that the portions of the drivewaylocated within the right of way are not included in the
impervious surface calculations. Please revise the calculations to include this area.
See the comments below from Jerry Shuster, P.E., Stormwater Engineering Program Manager
The geotechnical report does not provide a design infiltration rate per one of the methods in Appendix C of the
Edmonds Stormwater Code Supplement (ESCS).
mondsStormwaterSupplementFinal20100428.pdf).
The sizing of the gravelless chamber cannot be reviewed without such data. The soil samples for the grain size
analysis orthe location of the PIT tests, per Appendix C of the ESCS,must be at the proposed location of the
infiltration chambers and go below the anticipated bottom of the chambers.Note that the pre-sizing table do not
provide for 100% infiltration of runoff.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plansand associated documents with a written response to each
item to a Permit Coordinator. Please contact me at 425-771-0220ext 1321or by e-mail at
jennifer.lambert@ci.edmonds.wa.usif you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections.
