the operation of the hot tub and the details of their installation. Of specific concern are
connections to the potable water supply for filling and any required backflow protection
per UPC chapter 6, connection to the sanitary system for drainage per ECDC 18.10.050/
UPC chapter 7, installation of a heater and gas piping to provide fuel per IFGC chapters 3

according to standard codes.
The filter backwash line will be plumbed with 2" schedule 40 PVC pipe from the 2"
multi -port valve on the filter to a 2" nozzle pointed down into a 6" minimum diameter
stand pipe with a 4" air gap between the nozzle and the top of the standpipe. The
standpipe will be connected to the household sewer connection per the UPC.
Potable water for filling the hot tub will be supplied with a garden hose connected to a
hose bib with a vacuum breaker. Filling will be done manually.
Installation of the heater shall be done by a qualified technician according to the
manufacturer's recommendations and all applicable codes. The owner shall obtain any
permits and or inspections required for the heater installation.
In response to Item 2:
The hot tub shall have a hard cover meeting the ASTM codes.
