All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing Permit Assistance: Utility Engineer Comments: 1. Provide buoyancy calculations and sizing calculations for the antiflotation base that needs to be installed for the tank. See Structural requirements Item #3. 2. Tank needs to have a minimum of 165 gallons of storage. As is right now, the tank has 110 gallons (which does not factor in that the pump, dead storage below the pump intake, rail and other appurtanances are taking up some of that 110 gallons of volume.) So either the tank needs to be deeper, which will change the performance characteristics of the pump, or it needs to be of a larger diameter. 3. Provide elevations of floats (on, off, alarm, etc.) 4. Provide calculations proving that the pump will not exceed 10 starts per hour. 5. Force main needs to be 2 inches in diameter and hi mol poly pipe also pipe shall not have any bends. Currently as designed there will be a need for a 45 degree bend. 6. Provide documentation that the pump and appurtenances can be repaired/replaced within 24 hours as stated in Mechanical Requirement #1. 7. Will the pump be able to be installed on a rail system or is it too small? Also the submittal shows 4 different pump models. Please show which model will be used, so that the City can review for approval. 8. Show elevation/size of vent pipe going into tank and show on plans. See Structural requirements #9 for additional information. 9. Show elevation of electrical conduit going into tank. 10. Show finish grade elevation of tank lid. 11. Show location of hose bib on plans. 12. Please provide design calculations and data as required in handout E62 Pre-Design Report item #2 and in the E62 Checklist item #3 Design Calculations. Make sure head loss calculation includes losses for fittings. Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please contact me at 425-771-0220 if you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections. DATE FAXED/E-MAILED 7/2/2017 PAGE ___ OF __ 11
