SEWER
1)OK
2)6/25/14 –Comment was addressed; however, it has been determined that the tree can be removed.
Please add a note if the tree is to be removed and revisethe note accordingly.
5/6/14 Comment: Please show the side sewer from the sewer main line to the house.
a.Please note if the sewer lateral is proposed or existing.
b.The existing sewer will need to be inspected to determine if it can be reused. The City is
currently in the process of determining if the tree located on Bell St near the existing sewer
needs to be removed. If the tree does not need to be removed, and if the existing sewer cannot
be reused dueto root intrusion, the new sewer will need to be located such that it will not create
any damage to the tree and will not be subject to root intrusion.
3)6/25/14 –Comment was addressed;however, the invert elevations provided indicates that the
slope of the sewer line has reverse fall. Please verify and revise the elevations if they are incorrect.
Ifthey elevations are indeed correct, please refer to the handout #E62 for engineering
requirementsfor sewer pumps. Please note that the City does allow E-One pumps.
5/6/14 Comment -Please show the invert elevations at the main and the house so that slope and
coverage can be verified.

6)6/25/14 –Comment was not addressed.
5/6/14 Comment -Please note what pipe materialand sizewill be used for the sewer.
WATER
1)6/25/14 –Comment (b) was not addressed.
5/6/14 Comment -It appears that a fire sprinkler system is required for this property. The existing water
service line from the watermain to the meter is not the appropriate size and a new tap will be required.
a.Please show the new line from the watermain to thehouse.

b.Please show theback of thewater meter located at the property line(where the water meter is
within the right-of-way).
c.Please add a note that a 1” meter is to be installed.
d.Please label the water service line as1 ½” and note the pipe material and tracer wire.
STORM
1)6/25/14 –Comment was addressed. However, even though the walkway may not be directed to the
onsitestormwater management system, the system shall be designed for the total impervious area
on the lot. Therefore, there should bea zeroin the non-regulated box and all impervious surface
area on the lot should be new. The total regulated area and the total area proposed to be
mitigated by LID should be the same number.
5/6/14 Comment -The impervious surface calculations state that there is 1,088 sq ftof exempt
impervious surfaces. However, everything was demolished and would be considered new impervious
surface(driveway, walkway, covered porch, roofline, etc. should be included in the impervioussurface
calculations). Please revise the impervious surface calculations and redesign the stormwater
management system accordingly.
2)6/25/14 –The surface area from thedriveway has to discharge to an approved system (such as an
infiltration system). The transition zone is notan approvedstormwater managementsystem.
Please revise the plans to either show thesurface waterrunoff from the driveway dischargingto
the proposed infiltration system or to a separate onsitestormwater managementsystem.
5/6/14 Comment -Please show how the stormwater runoff form the drivewaywill be collected and
discharged to the stormwater management system.

Engineering Plan Review Comments
6)6/25/14 –Comment was partially addressed. In 6(a), we stated that the Puget East 36 rainfall
needed to be used; however thePuget West was used. Please revise accordingly.
5/6/14 Comment -The stormwater modeling needs be revised as follows:
a.Use the Puget East 36 rainfall per the Stormwater Supplement
b.Simulate the infiltration trench as a “gravel trench bed” in WWHM not as a vault.
DRY UTILITIES
1)6/25/14 –Comment was not addressed. Theproposed location of the dry utilities are not shown on
the plans.
5/6/14 Comment -Please show the location of the dry utilities (power, gas, phone, etc.) so that
separation can be verified.
