During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing Permit Assistance:
1. Drywell per the approved detail shall be a 10ft distance from the house and 10ft from the
property line. It appears on this drawing that those distance requirements are not being
met. It looks like these requirements could be met if the cb and drywell were located in the
driveway. The foundation is set back some so the 10ft/10ft requirement could probably be
met. The cb would need a solid lid to prevent driveway runoff from entering it. A drywell
can be under a driveway if there is 2 ft of cover between the elevation of the top of pipe
where it enters the drywell and the top of the wearing course. A tightline could then be run
horizontally to the property line over to the storm stub.
