Dear Mr. Kongsomboot:
I have reviewed your resubmittal dated May 12, 2015 for the above building permit applicationfor the Planning
Division,and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed
before review can continue:
Setbacks:
The minimum required side setback is 7.5-feet from the southern property line. Your plans state

that the carport is 17feetby 24feet;however, it is unclear is these dimensions include out to the support
posts or if the dimensions also include the eaves.The code allows up to 2.5 feet of eaves to project into the
minimum required setback. So, the eaves of the carport must be a minimum of 5 feet from the southern
property line, but the support posts must be a minimum of 7.5 feet from the southern property line. Please
revise the plans as necessary so that the carport complies with the setback requirements.
Site Plan:
In order to confirm compliance with the above setback requirements, please clearly indicate the

locations of all of the support posts for the carport on the siteplanand also indicate the location of the
carport’s eaves.
Please submit three copies of your revised site plan (including one reduced copy) and two copies of any revised
building plan sheets to a Development Services Permit Coordinator. Our office hours areMondays, Tuesdays,
