During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing Permit Assistance:
1. Please provide all site impervious surface square footage in form. The existing gravel is
not considered pervious. See Handout E72 Storm Water Management for the definition of
impervious surfaces. Please revise calculations.
2. In calculation box there is an indication that the existing impervious is mitigated by an
existing storm water system. Please show the system on the plans. If the runoff currently
runs to splash blocks or to a tightline that is directly connected to the City system, it is not
being mitigated. If this is the case, please move the amount from line 5 to line 6.
3. Under lot coverage is listed “impervious surface”. Impervious surface is not part of the lot
coverage calculation. See Edmonds Community Development Code Chapter 21.15.110 for
the definition of coverage. Please direct any questions regarding this definition to the
planning reviewer, Jen Machuga.
4. Please provide additional information regarding the note “upgrade to 1” water supply
proposed”. Note on plans if a new water meter will be installed, the size and material of the
proposed new water service line on the property, and include that an RPBA is required in
the hotbox.
5. Call out on plans within the building notes 834 sf. Please add that this refers to the roofline
(as opposed to the actual wall to wall building square footage).
