The revised plan set we reviewed in 2013 showed the building excavation could be made using open cuts (see first paragraph of page 2 of the attached plan review letter dated October 29, 2013). I looked at the current plan set, which is nearly identical to the 2013 design, and it appears that there is room to complete the excavation using open cuts that are sloped at the inclinations recommended in our geotechnical reports. All looks good, except a question did come up regarding excavation and temporary shoring when the building plans examiner was wrapping up his review. We noted the Terra Associates report dated January 29, 2007 indicates a couple different areas on the site that would require temporary shoring. Can you please confirm that this is still applicable with the current design and if so, can you please provide a plan sheet showing the location of the temporary shoring? I have also finished review of the cost estimate and have the following comments: 1.Please provide TESC bond quantity worksheets. These sheets seem to be missing from the packet. 2.Move street light replacement to fall under ROW improvements. 3.Add water utility costs. 4.Add sewer utility costs. 5.Add erosion control measures related to bringing the water quality pond back into compliance.
