During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts referred to in these comments can be accessed at
our website: www.edmondswa.govunder City Government / Development Services Department /
Engineering Division then scroll down to Handouts:
1)Show all impervious surfaceareas on the plans (i.e. asphaltareas, gravel areas, sheds, concrete,
roof, walkways, etc.). It appears there are structures and asphalt along the west side of the home.
2)Notethe year of construction for allimpervious surface areas.
3)Please show a breakdown of the impervious surface area.
a.For example –Roof –XXXXsf (year of construction)
Driveway –XXXXsf (year of construction)
Shed–XXXXsf (year of construction)
Walkways –XXXXsf (year of construction)
Proposed Deck –XXXXsf (impervious or pervious)
Etc….
4)Isthe proposed deck a spaced deck? If the proposed deckis spaced, please state what surface is
below the deck(i.e. grass, dirt, patio, etc.)
a.If the deck is not spaced, it will be considered an impervious surface.
b.If there are some areas under the deckthat areimpervious and permeable, clearly show
which areas are permeable and which areas are impervious.
c.If the deck is being constructed over an existing patio, please note the year of construction
of the patio.

d.The buildingplans for the deck show a roof over the deck. Will there be a roof over the
deck? If not, please clearlynote that the roof will not be constructed. Currently it states in
the plan that the roof isnot in the contract; however, the plans need to clearlystate if the
roof is intended to be constructed.
5)Please note what the existing deck is (i.e. spaced deck with permeable surface below, spaced deck
with impervious surface below, imperviousdeck, etc.)
6)Show the location sewer from the house to the main line.
7)Show the location of the water service line from the meter to the house.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised SitePlansand associated documents with a written response to
