bld20151055-Select Homes-stormwater comments email 09222015.pdf From:McConnell, Jeanie To:Kayla Clark Subject:bld20151055-Select Homes-17500 72nd Ave W Date:Tuesday, September 22, 2015 12:23:45 PM Good afternoon, The Engineering Division has not yet been able complete a full review of the permit application nd submitted for the Select Homes single family residence at 17500 72 Ave W. However, the City’s Stormwater Engineer Program Manager, Jerry Shuster, has been able to complete his review. While these comments are normally sent out in conjunction with the main engineering review, due to our backlog of project reviews we felt it could be more efficient for you if we provided these comments to you now. These comments have been provided below and will again be included with the main engineering review comment letter once that review is complete. Storm Drainage Report, RAM Engineering 8/14/2015 Section E. WWHM2012 has had several updates since he 2015/03/18 version (used in the report). Please download the most current version (Clear Creek Solutions website) and use it for this project. Section 5.7.4.2 of the Edmonds Stormwater Code Supplement states that the minimum orifice size for a detention system is 0.5 inches, an orifice smaller than this is proposed in the report. As stated in Section 3.2.4 of the 2005 Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington, if the allowable discharge cannot be met even when the live storage depth is reduced to 3 feet using a 0.5 inch orifice, that’s all that is expected. The allowable discharge rates can be rounded to 0.009, 0.018, and 0.042 cfs, if that helps. Plans Once a notched weir has been modeled for compliance, place the depth and width on the riser pipe shown the Plan Sheet GN-01. Please let me know if you have any questions.
