During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning and Building, may result in
additional comments. Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised plans/documents with a
written response to each of the items below to a permit coordinatoronce all divisions have completed
their review.

Resubmittals can be made at the Development Services Department on the 2floor of City Hall. Permit
Center hours are M, T, Th & F from 8am-4:30pm. The Permit Center is closed on Wednesdays.

The drawing does not scale 1”= 20’as stated. Please revise the drawingaccordingly.
2)
Impervious surface chart:
a.
Removethe areas that are stated will be removed. No credit is given for impervious area
that is removed.
b.
Either group the impervious areabased on the year the area was installed and state the year
of installation or list theyear of installation next to each item.
c.
There was an addition completed in 1990. Please list this in the impervious area
calculations.

Clearly label what portions of the home are new (1990 & proposed), what areas willadded, and

what areas are a 2story addition only.
a.
Any areas where the existingfoundation, concrete, asphaltis beingremoved to bare soils,
that area is considered new impervious area. The only exception is if the drivewayis being
replaced/repaired. Please revise the plans and impervious surface calculations accordingly.

The Plot Plan states thatthe existing deck(north side of home)will be added onto with a deck;
however, the architecturaldrawingsstate that it will be added onto with a patio. Revise
accordingly.
a.
If this is a deck that will be expanded, please label what kind of deck and what materialis
below the deck (i.e. spaced decking with landscape below).
5)
There is a note that the existingpatio at the southeast corner of the home is to be removed;
however the plans do not show what the patiowill be replaced with. Per thearchitectural
drawingsthere are doors for the house in this location. Will there besteps, landing area, deck,
etc? Please revise the plans accordingly.
6)
Please provide the bottom and top elevations of the proposed rockery. Rockeries on private
property adjacent to the city right-of-way must be set back from thecity right-of-way a minimum
horizontal distance equal to the height of therockery (per Edmonds Community Development
Code 18.40.020).
7)
Please showtemporary erosion control measures and reference the appropriate City Standard
Details.
