Please note that the Planning Division cannot approve the presence of an ADU within a single-family residence until the associated Conditional Use Permit (CUP) is first approved. I sent you an email requesting additional information for the associated CUP application earlier this morning (File No. PLN20150062). I do not have any additional comments related to the building permit application at this time. Once the requested items are submitted in response to my comment letter, I will be able to continue with review of the CUP application. Assuming the CUP is approved, you would then need to submit revised plans for the building permit application that are consistent with what is approved under the CUP (in addition to addressing any comments from the other reviewing divisions).
