During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Building, or
Fire may result in additional comments. Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised
plans/documents with a written response to each of the items below to a permit coordinator.

Resubmittals can be made at the Development Services Department on the 2floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th & F from 8am-4:30pm and on Wednesdays from 8:30am-noon.

March 29, 2017 –The plans have been revised to indicate the new sewer line will run

under the existing footing, but a detail for the installation hasnot beenprovided. Please
provide a section view that shows the existing sewer, the new connection, the sewer
running under the retaining wall footing and required separation (a minimum 1-footof
separation is required. As the footing is existing, indicate method of sewer installation.
Invert elevations at the point of connection to the existing sewerand at cleanouts/drains
shall also be shown to verify minimum slope requirement of 2% will be met.
4/15/2016 comment -Indicate how the sewer line will be installed through/below the existing
retaining wall.
March 29, 2017 –Comment partiallyaddressed. A3”area drain and 4”hub drain has

been shown. Please clarify the intent of each. Is one supposed to be a capped cleanout and
the other acollectionpoint for compactor fluids?
4/15/2016 comment -The proposed sewer line shows a connection to the north of the compactor
connection. Please confirm what the intent of this is. Roof water from the downspouts shall not
drain to the sanitary sewer system.
March 29, 2017 –Comment not addressed.

4/15/2016 comment -Pursuant to a site visit and outlined in subsequent plan review comments
dated April 7, 2016 by Les Krestel, Pretreatment Technician, it was noted that stormwater
runoff currently flows into the compactor area. Stormwater runoff shall not enter the sanitary
sewer system. Revise plans to show how stormwater and sanitary sewer discharges will be
separated.
