During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections,or clarifications are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Building, or
Fire may result in additional comments. Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised
plans/documents with a written response to each of the items below to a permit coordinator.

Resubmittals can be made at the Development Services Department on the 2floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th & F from 8am-4:30pmand on Wednesdays from 8:30am-noon.
City of Edmonds handouts, standard details and development code can be referenced on the City
website.
1)The architectural plans show a bathroom within the garage structure. Revise civil plans to show
location of water, sewerand power utilities serving the garage.
2)The existing western driveway and curb cut has not been approved and is required to be
removed per WSDOT.Revise plans as follows:
a.Indicate removal of thedriveway curb cut and replacement with standard curb/gutter and
sidewalk. Include appropriate standard details.
b.Indicate removal of the existing western asphalt drive.
c.Update impervious surfacecalculations accordingly.
3)WSDOT has also indicated in past correspondence that a chain link fencepreviouslyremoved
for the construction of the driveway shall be replaced. Any deviation from this requirement
should be approved by WSDOT.
4)Is the impervious surface area from the existing driveway included in theimpervious surface
calculations? If so, how will the flows be captured and directed to thestorm system?
5)RevisePlan Notes, Note 1as needed to be consistent with comment number 2above.
6)Clearly indicate on the plans that the “area drains”called out will be constructed as depicted in
Detail 2–Roof Runoff Infiltration Trench.
7)Callout drivewayslope on the plans. Approval was previously given by theCity to allow for a
slopein excess of 14% and up to 20%.
8)Revise bothinfiltration trench details to indicate 1 ½”–1¾”(preferably1½”–2½”)instead
of 1 ½”–¾”washed rock.
9)The stormwater site plan report indicates “The two existingdriveways shall be used to access
thesite”.The western most driveway is not an approved driveway.
