During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing the “Services” tab and
“Permits and Development”.
1. Please revise the impervious surface information provided.
a. Do not include the removed impervious surface in the calculations. You can list the surfaces to be
removed in a separate section.
b. If the surfaces are currently gravel, concrete or asphalt patio, driveway, or sidewalk and the project
proposal is to change any of them to a similar type of impervious surface (i.e. gravel to asphalt), please
list those areas as replaced impervious surface. This would not apply to the concrete patio being
replaced by a deck structure.
b. List all the existing to remain surfaces first with a total, then the replaced surfaces with total, and then
list all the proposed new surfaces with a total. This helps clarify the project in terms of any additional
stormwater requirements.
Example: for the concrete parking lot, you would list existing concrete parking lot 1176 sf. (No need
to add the original size and the demo amount-just the final size for completed project)
2. Please provide an erosion control plan noting areas to be demo’d and erosion control measures to be
installed.
3. Two fence lines are showing at the west end of the property. New fence shall be at the property line.
Remove fence shown on neighboring property or label as existing, whatever is appropriate.
4. Per Edmonds Community Development Code Chapter 18.40.020, The City of Edmonds does not review,
approve, issue permits for, or inspect Rockeries. Please review this chapter section for types of rockeries that
are prohibited. Please provide top and toe elevations for the proposed section of rockery and note distance from
property line.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
